How does Somatic IFS work?

Somatic IFS brings a more body centered approach to traditional IFS. We use a combination of breath, voice, touch and other exercises to get in connection with parts of us that need our attention. Our bodies are vessels for our innate wisdom and should thus be included in any therapy work we do.

How Somatic IFS Therapy Works

Step 1:

Start with a free 20 minute consultation. This will be a brief conversation where you can ask questions and get to know each other.

We will schedule your first appointment if it’s a good fit and get started!

Step 2:

We then start the process of Somatic IFS therapy by understanding your relationship with your body symptoms.

We work using your body’s senses and exercises to get access to parts of you that communicate through the body.

Step 3:

Our last step is working towards restoring connection to your body using Somatic IFS.

We allow the body to heal the pain that may have caused the symptoms so you can feel more free with your body.
