Parts of Me
Anxiety Therapy in Orlando, FL
My Approach
Internal Family Systems is an experiential therapy that helps you understand the heavy emotions you carry and relieve them. It can be used to help understand the voices in your head, the feelings you carry, and the thoughts that won’t stop. IFS helps with anxiety by creating a safe environment and helping rewire your brain and nervous system. Clients are able to go within themselves by exploring, validating, and experiencing safely. Once this is done, clients report feeling happier with themselves.
How We Start
Once you book your consultation we will see if both of us are a good fit. This is an opportunity to make sure therapy is right for you and that I can address your concerns. Consultations and future sessions can be in person or virtual based on your needs. Consultations and sessions are for Florida residents only.
Our first session we will go over your concerns, what you hope to get out of therapy, and other questions relating to your counseling experience.
Once we have explored these concerns we will work towards internally addressing them and then safely going to what’s at the root of the problem and embark on a healing process for your inner system. When clients can experience this in session consistently, they can then go on their own and use this practice to live a healthy meaningful life.
Orlando Counseling FAQs
How will Internal Family Systems therapy help me?
IFS is one of the few experiential therapy treatments used today and is on the cutting edge of transforming therapy. What this means is unlike traditional talk therapy, we focus on experiencing emotional coregulation in session using a variety of techniques. In doing this we engage both the left side and the right side of the brain and becoming more integrated.
What can I expect at the end of therapy?
At the end of treatment you will be able to regulate your emotions better and address internal and external problems in a healthier way. My clients report feeling lighter and more at peace with themselves and their inner critics. They can move forward living a purposeful life and practice what they learned in therapy.
